Today was our first really cold day of 2014 in the UK. -2, not that cold compared to some countries but cold enough to get British people talking (we love talking about the weather).
It was also cold enough to freeze stuff. Like the roads, your hands and your car windscreen.
When you’re running late for work, the most annoying thing is running outside and realising your car is frozen. I’m sure most people have had this, where you spend 15 minutes trying to scrap ice off- with a Boots Advantage card in my case- so you’re safe to drive.

On Bonfire Night I took my colleague’s brand new Nissan Pulsar home for the evening.
In true salesman style there was hardly any diesel in it. So on my journey I stopped on Worthing seafront to refuel. While I stood, watching money being torn from my pocket, fireworks going mental over Worthing pier, shivering in the freezing temperatures (it was actually like 7°C but I was cold) it suddenly dawned on me that I haven’t put fuel in a car since August.

I consider myself a safe driver. But fast. Some call it a ‘lead-foot.’ I like to try out the torque. Plus, I’m usually late.
